குடிபுறம் காத்தோம்பிக் குற்றம் கடிதல்
வடுஅன்று வேந்தன் தொழில்

As protecting the citizens; punishing the 
crimes is king's duty, not offense

Vizhiyappan's Commentary: As looking after the citizens by protecting from others; weeding the crimes by punishing the wrong people, is also the profession of king! It is not offense!

As growing the children by exempting from evils; eliminating the badness by punishing the faults, is also the duty of parents! It is not wrong!
