Chapter 048: Aware of Strength (Vizhiyappan's Translation)

0471.  வினைவலியும் தன்வலியும் மாற்றான் வலியும்
           துணைவலியும் தூக்கிச் செயல்

           Strengths of “deeds/self/others/supporters”
           be analyzed and then do deeds

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The deeds should be done after having quantified the four 
           factors of "strength of deeds/strength of self/strength of enemy/strength of supporters".

           The relationships should be determined after having realized the four factors of "power of 
           thought/power of mind/power of trust/power of members".

0472.  ஒல்வ தறிவது அறிந்ததன் கண்தங்கிச்
           செல்வார்க்குச் செல்லாதது இல்

           Nothing is impossible to those, who know
           their strength and act suitably

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: There is nothing impossible to those who understand the nature 
           of their strength, and sustain with zealous to do according to the understanding.

           There is no suffering to those who realize the dignity of self-discipline, and continue with the 
           truth to live according to the realization.

0473.  உடைத்தம் வலியறியார் ஊக்கத்தின் ஊக்கி
           இடைக்கண் முரிந்தார் பலர்

           Many people initiate on emotion without knowing
           their strength, and perished in between

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: There are many people who are driven by emotion to initiate the 
           deeds without knowing their strength, and perished in between.

           There are many people who have obtained debts on essential situation without planning their 
           income, and lost the life at young age.

0474.  அமைந்தாங் கொழுகான் அளவறியான் தன்னை
           வியந்தான் விரைந்து கெடும்

           Who wonder themselves, without interacting others 
           and unaware self strength, will ruin faster

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who speak wonder about themselves, without closely 
           interacting with others and not aware of self strength, will ruin faster.

(Likewise…)

           The team-leaders who act arrogantly, without thoroughly discussing with team-mates and not 
           realizing their leadership quality, will spoil faster.

0475.  பீலிபெய் சாகாடும் அச்சிறும் அப்பண்டஞ்
           சால மிகுத்துப் பெயின்

           When overloaded, even feather of peacock
           can break the linchpin of cart

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Even if it is the lighter feather of peacock, when it is overloaded 
           without knowing the strength of linchpin of the cart, linchpin will be broken.

           Even if they are less-expensive things, when it is continuously spent without realizing the 
           balance on hand, poverty will dominate.

0476.  நுனிக்கொம்பர் ஏறினார் அஃதிறந் தூக்கின்

           உயிர்க்கிறுதி யாகி விடும்

           Who climbed to tree-tip, if climbs further,

           it will become end of life

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who climbed up to the tip of a tree, if attempts to climb 

           further without realizing the limit of the human strength; it will lead to end their life.

           Those who disrupted the rights of people, if attempts to disrupt more and more without 

           knowing the impact of breaching the rights; it will lead to a social revolution.

0477.  ஆற்றின் அளவறிந்து ஈக அதுபொருள்
           போற்றி வழங்கு நெறி

           Assessing the income before giving, is the way
           to maintain and share wealth!

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: We should give others by realizing the capacity of our earning; 
           that is the concept of maintaining and sharing the wealth.

           We should teach others by analyzing the depth of our understanding; that is the way of 
           elaborating and teaching the understanding.

0478.  ஆகாறு அளவிட்டி தாயினுங் கேடில்லை
           போகாறு அகலாக் கடை

           Even if income is limited, there is no evil
           until expense isn’t exceeded

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Even if the quantity of income is limited; no big evil will incur 
           until the expenses do not cross over the limit!

           Even if the vigor of good thoughts is decayed; no huge destruction will happen until the evil-
           deeds do not occupy the mind and spread!

0479.  அளவறிந்து வாழாதான் வாழ்க்கை உளபோல
           இல்லாகித் தோன்றாக் கெடும்

           Life of who don't live by knowing quantity,
           will appear alive but ruin

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The life of those who do not live by knowing the quantity of 
           income; will create an illusion like it is wealthy, but will disappear and ruined.

           The status of those who do not interact by respecting the splendid of relationships; will give a 
           hope like it has authority, but will lose the self and end. 

0480.  உளவரை தூக்காத ஒப்புர வாண்மை
           வளவரை வல்லைக் கெடும்

           Helping without estimating the balance-in-hand,
           will rapidly decay the wealth

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If it is continued to help others without estimating the balance-
           in-hand of oneself, the quantity of someone's wealth will be rapidly decayed.

           If it is continued to criticize others without eliminating the defect of oneself, the quality of 
           someone's self will be rapidly decreased.
