Chapter 038: Destiny (Vizhiyappan's Translation)

0371.  ஆகூழால் தோன்றும் அசைவின்மை கைப்பொருள்
           போகூழால் தோன்றும் மடி

           If destiny is to gain wealth, effort emerges;
           if it's to lose, sloth emerges

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If the destiny is to gain wealth, efforts will be emerged;
           if the destiny is to lose wealth, sloth will be emerged.

           If the thoughts are to upgrade the discipline, ethical acts will be increased; if the
           thoughts are to downgrade the discipline, devil acts will be increased.

0372.  பேதைப் படுக்கும் இழவூழ் அறிவகற்றும்
           ஆகலூழ் உற்றக் கடை

           If it’s destined to decay, ignorance surrounds; 
           if it’s to grow, rational evolves

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If the destiny is to decay, ignorance will surround; if the
           destiny is to grow, rational will evolve.

           If the actions done seed the evil things, arrogance will emerge; if the actions done
           seed the good things, humane will develop.

0373.  நுண்ணிய நூல்பல கற்பினும் மற்றும்தன்
           உண்மை யறிவே மிகும்

           Despite reading many philosophical books, only
           their real knowledge prevails

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Despite someone read many books, which seed
           thought-process, their knowledge will prevail only based on the real knowledge
           called destiny.

           Despite someone knew many ways to upgrade the society, their social work will
           excel only based on the correct element called surrounding.

0374.  இருவேறு உலகத்து இயற்கை திருவேறு
           தெள்ளிய ராதலும் வேறு

           Destiny seeds two kinds of life; becoming rich 
           or rationalist are different

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Destiny seeds two different kinds of life. The destiny for
           becoming rich or becoming rationalist are different kinds.

           The thoughts transform humans into two different categories. The thoughts for being
           dictator or being affectionate are unrelated.

0375.  நல்லவை எல்லாஅந் தீயவாம் தீயவும்
           நல்லவாம் செல்வம் செயற்கு

           While accumulating wealth, good turns bad or
           bad turns good, depends on destiny

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: During an attempt to accumulate the wealth, either all
           the good becoming bad or all the bad becoming good, will be dependent on the
           destiny.

           During an attempt to enhance the self, either the easy things becoming difficult or
           the difficult things becoming easy, will be decided by the zealous.

0376.  பரியினும் ஆகாவாம் பாலல்ல உய்த்துச்
           சொரியினும் போகா தம

           What aren’t ours, leave despite protection;
           wherever we drop, ours won't

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Despite huge protection, what are not destined to us will
           leave us; what are destined to us won't leave, wherever we drop them.

           Despite numerous tryings, actions will be incomplete if there is no zealous; if there
           is zealous, actions will be completed despite a few tryings.

0377.  வகுத்தான் வகுத்த வகையல்லால் கோடி
           தொகுத்தார்க்கும் துய்த்தல் அரிது

           One can't enjoy millions worth wealth, against
           the plan of He who planned

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Even if millions worth wealth is accumulated, one
           cannot enjoy them against the plan of He, who planned the world.

           Even if numerous ways of projects are available, one cannot implement them, if the
           zealous to process is not strengthened.

0378.  துறப்பார்மன் துப்புர வில்லார் உறற்பால
           ஊட்டா கழியு மெனின்

           If hardships of destiny fail to hurt,
           poor will do renunciation

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If the definite hardships of destiny fail to hurt, the poor
           people will do renunciation.

           If the decisive penalties of law are not granted, the unethical people will do
           extremism.

0379.  நன்றாங்கால் நல்லவாக் காண்பவர் அன்றாங்கால்
           அல்லற் படுவ தெவன்

           Why those feel happy for goodness,
           feel depressed for evil?

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Why those who say as "because of me" and smile when
           goodness happens, blame the destiny and feel depressed when evil happens?

           Why the parents who say as "we are the reason" and feel proud when the children
           add fame, criticize and punish the children when they add shame?

0380.  ஊழிற் பெருவலி யாவுள மற்றொன்று
           சூழினுந் தான்முந் துறும்

           What are stronger than destiny? Destiny
           will overcome any alternate

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: What are available as to be much stronger than
           destiny? Whatever alternate we think of, destiny will overcome everything and
           appear as primary.

           What weapon has more power than nonviolence? Whatever we handle as weapon,
           nonviolence will remain as powerful than everything.
