Chapter 011: Perceiving the Gratitude (Vizhiyappan's Translation)

0101.  செய்யாமல் செய்த உதவிக்கு வையகமும்
           வானகமும் ஆற்றல் அரிது

           Help by those never got helped, cannot be
           matched with earth & sky

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: We cannot match the help we have received by those
           who never got helped by us, even by giving both earth and sky.

(Likewise...)

           We cannot repay the mother who have never expected anything from us, even by
           giving both our body and soul.

0102.  காலத்தி னாற்செய்த நன்றி சிறிதெனினும்
           ஞாலத்தின் மாணப் பெரிது

           Even the least help at critical time,
           is greater than world

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The help rendered at the situation where there is no
           other go, is greater than the entire world irrespective of however least it may be.

           The relationship that rendered rehabilitation when the life is almost over, is the
           primary of all relationships irrespective of however distanced it may be.

0103.  பயன்தூக்கார் செய்த உதவி நயன்தூக்கின்
           நன்மை கடலின் பெரிது

           Kindness of those helped without expectations, 
           is greater than ocean

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If we analyse the kindness of those who helped without
           any expectations on returns, it will be understood that such help is greater than the
           ocean.

           If we follow the feature of reign that was governed by those who did not aspire for
           selfishness, the outcome of which will be excellent than the superpower.

0104.  தினைத்துணை நன்றி செயினும் பனைத்துணையாக்
           கொள்வர் பயன்தெரி வார்

           Those realize the help, will magnify
           the millet-sized to palm-tree

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who realize the goodness of the help, will
           magnify even the millet sized help into palm tree sized.

(Likewise...)

           The mother who has given the birth to the child, will applaud even the meaningless
           lalliation by matching with the mythologies.

0105.  உதவி வரைத்தன்று உதவி உதவி
           செயப்பட்டார் சால்பின் வரைத்து

           Helping back doesn't depend on help,
           but on the curtesy

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Helping back to someone who has helped, does not
           depend on the help received; but, it depends on the curtesy of who got helped.

(Likewise...)

           Returning the gratitude to mother who has carried us, does not depend on the period
           she has carried; but, it depends on the lifetime of who got life.

0106.  மறவற்க மாசற்றார் கேண்மை துறவற்க
           துன்பத்துள் துப்பாயார் நட்பு

           Don't forget those with pure humane; don't renounce the
           friendship of those helped in hardship

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Do not forget those who do not have impurity in their
           humane! Likewise, do not renounce the friendship of those who took part during
           hardships!!

(Likewise...)

           Do not support those who have defect in their reign! Likewise, do not forget the
           symbol of those who is truly among one of the public!!

0107.  எழுமை எழுபிறப்பும் உள்ளுவர் தங்கண்
           விழுமந் துடைத்தவர் நட்பு

           Ethical people feel the friendship of who
           eliminated hardship, in seven births

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who knew the ethics will feel the friendship of
           those eliminated their hardship, in the all possible seven births.

(Likewise...)

           Those who knew the affection will anticipate the relationship of who carried their soul
           (Mother), in all possible births.

0108.  நன்றி மறப்பது நன்றன்று நன்றல்லது
           அன்றே மறப்பது நன்று

           It's bad to forget help; better forget
           evil the same day

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: It is not good to forget the help done by others;
           however, it is better to forget the evil done by them, on the same day itself.

(Likewise...)

           It is not ethics to unelect those who conduct good reign; however, it is ethics to
           eliminate those who conduct improper reign, with that election itself.

0109.  கொன்றன்ன இன்னா செயினும் அவர்செய்த
           ஒன்றுநன்று உள்ளக் கெடும்

           Recalling one goodness will overcome
           even deadliest evil by others

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Recalling one goodness done by others will make us
           overcome even the deadliest evil by them, which is on par to killing us.

(Likewise...)

           Realizing God in one incident will totally erase our denial of God, which is as
           extreme as even destroying the pictures of God.

0110.  எந்நன்றி கொன்றார்க்கும் உய்வுண்டாம் உய்வில்லை
           செய்ந்நன்றி கொன்ற மகற்கு

           Forgetting any good deeds has recovery;
           forgetting the gratitude has not

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who forget any good deeds has a possibility to
           recover; but, those who forget the gratitude do not have any form of recovery.

(Likewise...)

           Those who break any relationship has a salvation; but, those who break the
           relationship with parents do not have any kind of salvation.
