Chapter 008: Possession of Love (Vizhiyappan's Translation)

0071.  அன்பிற்கும் உண்டோ அடைக்கும்தாழ் ஆர்வலர்
           புன்கணீர் பூசல் தரும்

           Is there latch to shut love?
           It will appear anyway

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Is there any latch that can shut the love? On noticing
           the distress of our dear ones, love will be expressed in the form of tears.

           Is there any tool that can destruct the conscience? Even the downfall of our enemy,
           will trigger the thought-process to disturb us.

0072.  அன்பிலார் எல்லாம் தமக்குரியர் அன்புடையார்
           என்பும் உரியர் பிறர்க்கு

           Unkind people consider everything theirs;
           kind people give anything

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who are unkind, will consider everything theirs;
           those who are kind, will even make their body available for others.

(Likewise...)

           Those who are unquiet, will tend to spoil others' happiness; those who are quiet, will
           attempt to transfer their happiness to others.

0073.  அன்போடு இயைந்த வழக்கென்ப ஆருயிர்க்கு
           என்போடு இயைந்த தொடர்பு

           Combination of "life & love" has similar
           effect like "soul & body"

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The effect of life that is combined with love is on par
           with the relationship between the soul and body.

           The strength of deeds those are combined with truth is on par with the connection
           between the umbilical cord and fetus.

0074.  அன்புஈனும் ஆர்வம் உடைமை அதுஈனும்
           நண்பென்னும் நாடாச் சிறப்பு

           Possessing love triggers to love others;
           and make friendly too

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Possessing love triggers us to love others; further,
           it will also give the speciality of being friendly with everyone.

           Being truthful inspires us to possess ethics; further, it will also develop our majesty to
           become a sacred-soul.

0075.  அன்புற்று அமர்ந்த வழக்கென்ப வையகத்து
           இன்புற்றார் எய்தும் சிறப்பு

           Glory of happy people results from
           their love filled life

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Glory of the people who live happily in this world, is the
           benefit of their life that is filled with love.

           Reputation of the people who is respected in the society, is the reward for their life
           that is not deviated from ethics.

0076.  அறத்திற்கே அன்புசார் பென்ப அறியார்
           மறத்திற்கும் அஃதே துணை

           Who say love triggers only ethics;
           unaware, it triggers brave too

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who say that love would trigger only the ethical
           acts, are unaware that it also triggers the brave acts.

           Those who claim that the fathers will help only the financial needs, are unaware that
           they also help like mothers in growing the children.

0077.  என்பி லதனை வெயில்போலக் காயுமே 
           அன்பி லதனை அறம்

           As boneless creatures burnt by sunlight,
           unkind people hurt by ethics

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Like the boneless creatures are burnt by the sunlight,
           unkind people are hurt by the ethics.

           Like the precious time is wasted by the useless chat, an improper government will
           haunt the public.

0078.  அன்பகத் தில்லா உயிர்வாழ்க்கை வன்பாற்கண் 
           வற்றல் மரந்தளிர்த் தற்று

           The life of unkind people is like
           dry-tree sprouts in slough

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The life of those who do not have love at heart, is like
           the dry-tree sprouts in slough.

           The policies, which are not followed by the creator themselves, is like the effort to
           give life to a dry-fish.

0079.  புறத்துறுப் பெல்லாம் எவன்செய்யும் யாக்கை 
           அகத்துறுப்பு அன்பி லவர்க்கு

           What's the benefit of external organs,
           without kind-heart inside?

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If one do not have the internal organ of kind-heart, what
           would be the benefit of all the external organs?

           If one do not have the discipline in the family, what glory can be obtained by all their
           achievements outside?

0080.  அன்பின் வழியது உயிர்நிலை அஃதிலார்க்கு
           என்புதோல் போர்த்த உடம்பு

           Only kind people are considered alive;
           unkind are lifeless body

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who live with kindness are considered alive;
           unkind people are nothing but a body covered with flesh.

(Likewise...)

           Those who possess ethics while teaching devotion are religious guru; the rest are
           extremists, hidden in the holy dress.
